(6) Crossing the Red Sea (Exodus 13:17-15:21)
- Where did Ole and Sven go today? The zoo
- Have you ever been to the zoo? What was your favorite part? What is your favorite animal?
- Have you seen the lions being fed? How loud were the lions when they finished eating? very loud (they roar for 5 minutes or more)
- Why were Ole and Sven trapped in the lion cage? They took a short cut so they wouldn’t have to stand in line.
- Were they scared of the lion? Yes, very scared What did they do when they were scared? They panicked and ran around.
- In the Bible story today, who was trapped? The Israelites How did they get trapped? After they left Egypt the walked to the Red Sea and were trapped when the Egyptian Army came after them.
- What did the Israelites do when they were scared? They cried out to the Lord.
- What did God do for the Israelites? He parted the waters of the sea so the people could cross on dry ground. When the Egyptians tried to follow God closed up the sea to keep the Israelites safe.
- Have you ever been really scared?
- What should you do when you are scared? Ask God for help.
Prayer: Thank God because He loves us, protects us and gives us the things that we need. Ask God to help us remember to seek Him when we are in need. |
